Twenty four years ago today I made the best decision of my life by marrying this man! He is my reason for getting up in the morning. He has seen me through many years of depression following the deaths of my boys, has cared for me totally in the three plus years I was bedridden.

He took care of me through four strokes and three times breaking my back.

And he’s done it all joyfully. He told me once that he just needed someone who needed him. He doesn’t care if I’m just a lump in the bed, as long as I’m happy and smiling at him.

He is the epitome of love, and my daily proof of just how much Heavenly Father loves me.

My love and gratitude for you, Hank, is beyond any words language can describe. Happy Anniversary, sweetie!

Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak: O Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

Apologies, Thursday, July 26, 2018

Sorry I haven’t posted in the past ten days or so. I was locked out of my account and it took this long to get back on.

I was apparently caught up in some issues WordPress was having, and was locked out. I had to get admin to help me get back on. And it took about half a dozen messages back and forth in order to do it. I still don’t know how I did it, but I’m back!

Have you had any issues with your WordPress account?

Memories Monday, July 16, 2018

I don’t remember exactly when this picture was taken, but I do remember the day. I was going to go to Vacation Bible School, but Aunt Margie and Uncle John had been visiting and were going home to Ohio that day.

We drove with them down state road 441 to Lake Mary where we stopped and had a picnic. There were flies all over the place and I was a little squeamish. But my mom reassured me that it would be ok. I wasn’t going to die.

My aunt and uncle went on from there and we went home. I was late for VBS, but don’t recall much more than that except for missing them.

What memories are on your mind tonight?

Wellness Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Taking it easy tonight. Having an openfaced sandwich of chickpea salad with avocado. It’s summer, I’m hot. Neither hubby nor I want to cook.

So I choose healthy, tasty, and simple. No need to sweat, until you exercise, of course!

I was probably 3 or 4 years old when this photo was taken. It was in Lake Corrine on the old Orlando Air Force Base. The base was later turned into the Orlando Naval Training Center which was then closed during the Reagan administration, I believe.

It is now a housing community. They even renamed the lake to Lake Baldwin.

So many changes, but I still have many fond memories of going on base for swimming, bowling, movies, and tennis….all without charge. Even the food in the cafeteria was cheap, and pretty good!

As a side note, I told my husband that’s the only topless photo anyone will ever see of me! Lol!
