Memories Monday, April 22, 2019

My first date with hubby was April 20, 1994, his parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. We live in Central Florida. I had been to Utah and back, and he had been to Alaska and back.

As we got to know each other, we learned that, not only did we go to the same high school, but that we had lived less than 3 miles away from one another. We knew many of the same people, we just had never met each other.

We met 25 years later in the Circle K where I worked! We’ve been inseparable ever since. And going on 25 years of marriage (in July) and we’ve never had a fight. We do disagree, but choose not to fight about our disagreements. I don’t think we’ll live to see our 50th, but that’s ok. Love is eternal, and I’m beyond grateful for what I have.

What memories are you mulling today?

    1. Yes, and I thank God every day for him. The man who performed our marriage said that you walk into marriage with your eyes wide open and spend the rest of your life with your eyes half shut. We live by that advice.
