Lunch is a figure out what to do with the zucchini day. So I put it in with some black beans and tomatoes and green chiles and served it over rice.

We needed healthy after our anniversary excursion. But it was so beautiful!

I love the sunrise on the beach! We had such a wonderful time! We swam in the pool, walked in town, and admired the view!

The spirit needs wellness, too?

Memories Monday, July 29, 2019

Hubby took me to Melbourne for a few days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. When we got there, we found this.

The cottage owners had left us a little cake and a card to celebrate! So cute!

And this is the view from the porch.

Can you see the two ships on the horizon? Loved the sound of the surf. Had the door open, the ocean breeze floating in through the screen…this is Florida. There still are mosquitoes!

And this pillow says it all. Perhaps the most romantic time of my life!

Scripture Sunday, July 28, 2019

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Lamentations 3:22-25

Walking along Indialantic Beach. Yes, that’s the Atlantic Ocean behind me. Always good to get out in the fresh air, and I’m fortunate that this is a straight shot from my home…just about 45 miles away.

This is the intracoastal waterway that divides Melbourne from the beach. Many people will park at one end and walk the bridge.

It was a slightly cooler day today, and with the cloud cover, it was a comfortable walk. I love the beach!

Had a great report at my doctor this morning as well. My total cholesterol was 157. But then again, I’ve always had good numbers. But not bad for 3 years vegan as of the 19th of this month! I get plenty of protein, and mt B-12 is excellent. The only iffy thing was my fasting blood sugar was 60. But I’m fine! Better than I’ve been in years!

Now I’ve ordered a new fitbit. My old one finally bit the dust. RIP. lol!

Memories Monday, July 22, 2019

We’ve been going through our storage shed preparing for a move. We don’t want to take everything with us, so we’re tackling it box by box. Today we came across some old photos we didn’t remember having there. Some are damaged, but I had to at least put them on my phone, as they are of my boys.

This was James’s very first official date. I believe it was to a homecoming dance. I don’t remember who the girl was, but she’d be 45 years old now!

I miss those days! Grateful to know that this life isn’t the end.

Scripture Sunday, July 21, 2019

But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hat bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

My steps as of lunchtime. Getting better by increments!

Lunch was soba noodles with veggies. Baby corn, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, onions. All vegan, all healthy, all scrumptious!
