This is me about 26 years ago. My first house that was mine alone! I loved this little 2 bed 1 bath home. Just enough for my son and me.

Looking forward to our new home, when it comes. Getting excited!

We were out and about this morning, so we stopped at a local deli where I got a plain everything bagel. It hit the spot! But I’d eaten 3/4 of it before I thought to snap a photo.

Lunch was this delicious falafel wrap we picked up at a local health foods store. Perfect selection!

And my steps so far… We’re going back out to Academy Sports where I’m looking for a weighted vest. Doctor recommended for bone strength. I’ll get more steps throughout my day.

Today is in memory of my sweet Junior, who would have been 33 tomorrow. This picture was taken just 6 months before his death.

He was a handful, to say the least, but I’m grateful beyond measure that I’m his mom.

Junior, I love you more than there are words to express. You are my heart and soul. I miss you immensely, but I know you’re with me in spirit, and we will be together again someday when I’ve completed the work I came here to do.

Breakfast was simply hashbrowns. No salt added. But with ketchup. Lunch was roasted yellow squash, zucchini, bell peppers, onions, sweet potatoes, and a spring veggie/tomato soup.

For dinner I made this cauliflower/potato mash with a gravy I made with mushrooms, onions, brown rice flour, and high protein hemp milk. Delish!

I don’t know how many steps I took because, once again, I can’t get my fitbit to work, but I did move.

And I’m remembering 9/11.

Where were you when the towers fell?

Remembering my mom today. Thursday, the 12th will mark 49 years without her. I didn’t think I was capable of living 49 minutes without her.

Words can’t express how much I still miss her. She packed a lot in those short 52 years. From music to military service to family and nursing. Even if she wasn’t my mom, I’d be amazed at her brilliance, resourcefulness, and resolve.

Until we meet again, know how much I love you!
