Wellness Wednesday, February 26, 2020

I have written before about how I hope to foster both mental and physical wellness in my posts. Moving to Colorado has been a huge boost to my mental state. For as much as I love Florida and miss my friends and family there, I really missed the mountains!

And we came here because of hubby’s kids and grandkids. I’m so in love with them all and am eternally grateful they include me in the family.

We had opportunity to see my boys’ graves when we were out for the holidays, and this might seem silly to some, but I feel so much closer to home. I love the Rocky Mountains!

It’s going to take a little while to adjust to the altitude, as I’m not as young as I once was. But my spirits haven’t been higher.

The key for my mental wellness is gratitude for all I have been blessed with. I’m thankful for the life I live.

Memories Monday, February 24, 2020

It’s been awhile, but we’ve moved from Florida to Colorado. We came out for Christmas to celebrate with family, and things fell in place for us to continue our life journey here.

While we were out for the holidays, we were able to make a trip over to Utah where, for the first time, I was actually able to see James’ headstone. Hubby carefully cleared off the snow and I took this.

I was a bit surprised at how emotional this was. Another reminder that one never gets over having to bury a child.

But he was a good boy, and I’m grateful I was able to see the man he became.

Thursday would have been his 46th birthday. So, Happy Birthday, my son! There are no words for how much I love and miss you! But I know it’s not forever. So this is just until we meet again.
