I was going to post a picture of the gorgeous veggie sandwich I ate as we were out today. I had a physical therapy appointment and later, a doctor appointment. But for some unknown reason, it didn’t come out. But it was full of spinach, romaime, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini and black olives. I would have had radishes, but they weren’t offered. It was on a whole wheat bun and was extremely delicious and filling.
I’m not getting as many steps as I was, but I’m still walking everyday. Some weeks I’m just not as motivated. I do, however, get quite a workout in physical therapy. I’m even working up a sweat, and I don’t usually sweat.
Sometimes you just have to take it slow but still keep putting one foot in front of the other. Summer days are hot and lazy.
I got new shoes! My old ones wore out! I guess that’s what happens when you increase your steps. I have bought many different shoes, but I always go back to New Balance. I try to make conscious choices, but I have such high arches (when I put all my weight on one foot, I can still slide a pencil all the way under it) that it’s the only brand that supports them. I’ve even had podiatrists try to fit me. But I have to walk!
