Last week I was invited to a 21 day challenge.
The challenge could be anything I wanted to change in my life, with the knowledge that habits are formed in 21 days. The group, as a whole, is fitness based, but I’m sure anyone could take it and use it in any part of his/her life.
I chose to exercise 6 days per week, using the exercises the physical therapist gave me. After today, I think it’s wise that I began without weights. Next week, as I add repetition, I can add light weights, like they did when I was in the rehab center.
And this couldn’t have come at a better time, as I was getting lazy. So much so that I was beginning to lose my breath even standing up. And that’s not good for a singer. I plan to sing O Divine Redeemer by Charles Gounod in church sometime soon, and for anyone who knows the piece, you know I will need my breath to pull that off!
So this is what I looked like Sunday. I may not look very different in three weeks, but I will certainly feel different, stronger, more confident, and ready to conquer my world! My plan for the next three weeks is to do a short post every day about my progress.
Until then, it only takes baby steps. It only takes 21 days to create a habit. So what are you doing to challenge your life?
A Pocketful of Joy, Just Enough to Fill Your Day
Wow! This is inspiring.
I am hopeful that I can also do a 21 day challenge, to improve my health.
